Giving Back to Our Community

An important part of our business plan is to give back to the community we serve. Over the last year, we launched a Grass Roots program called “Donation and Discussion” inspired by the generous hearts of our clients, when one asked if her referral fee could be used instead to give back to her favorite local non profit, and Maryland Sunrooms readily agreed.

Our Donations and Discussions program started this summer, using the #GivingTuesday hashtag post and sending it out to our followers on Facebook where they comment their favorite non-profit for a chance to win $100 for that organization! One lucky winner gets the grand prize of $100 but all non-profit organizations entered on the post, receive an in-kind donation and the opportunity to record a zoom call with Marketing Director, Julie Sullivan Shetter, and have it posted on our social media platforms. Getting out sharable, informative, content to both of our pool of followers. So Far in 2020, Donations have totaled more than $5,000!

This program has gained great success and we want to spread the word to help more organizations like these! We also wanted to give another shout out to the organizations we’ve helped so far, as the nationally known #GivingTuesday event is upon us as we get closer and closer to the First Tuesday after Thanksgiving!

This year #GivingTuesday falls on December 1st 2020, and we will be posting again our Donation and Discussion Series with our contest to give away $100 to one lucky non-profit and an in-kind donation to all others nominated!
